A ten-year-girl must save Santa and Santa’s workshop from death and destruction due to global warming.
The North Pole is melting. It is only a matter of time before Santa's workshop plunges through the frozen tundra and into the Arctic Ocean. And there'll been no presents for Christmas.
Santa's elves aren't doing anything to stop it. They sip island drinks and listen to reggae music as Santa's workshop pumps out more and more presents to meet demand. And Santa is nowhere to be found except on posters with slogans such as HE SEES YOU WHEN YOU’RE SLEEPING. The North Pole's last hope is a 10-year-old freckled brash little girl, the Chosen One, Gina Adams.
Gina is a girl who knows what she wants. When she writes Santa, she CC’s the director of gift distribution. When she has no snow for a snowman, she builds one out of sod. Two rogue elves, Tippy and Snooble, kidnap Gina to save the North Pole from global warming. It’s been foretold in the Northern Lights that Gina is the chosen one – the Northern Lights is actually the name of their newspaper. Tippy, the brains and beauty of the operation, has been banned from the workshop for her revolutionary activity. Snooble, the brawn, has recently been laid off as Santa began outsourcing to cheaper overseas labor: dwarves, faeries, and garden gnomes. He also blew up a section of the workshop.
Together with a retired reindeer and a rapidly melting conspiracy theorist known only as The Snowman, they must recover the magical Snow Globe of Winter, find the missing Santa, and defeat an army of industrious garden gnomes determined to turn Christmas into Gnomesmas. Oh, and end global warming.
