Rick Fonté’s final full production for the BPP for who he served as an Artistic Associate and Producer of the late-night Dark Alley series, was the dark Wendy McLeod Comedy about anorexia.

Rick chose this play specifically because of the message it could send to the sororities and campus and several of them came in groups.  Rick also assembled the sound design which hopped back and forth between pop candy like Britney Spears and Christine Aguilera, and original music featuring a ‘tribunal’ of dead thin girls.

“I saw Schoolgirl at the Goodman and never got it out of my mind.  I think a college town was a far more appropriate venue for it and I enjoyed e-mailing Wendy and begging for the rights and the (at the time unpublished) script.”
