In partnership with the Indiana University Student Union, Rick Fonté co-produced and directed his dream project, the musical CHESS.
With some of the best singers from one of the best music programs in the country, the sleek production played to houses in excess of 1000 and featured moving lights, a full orchestra and 64 square raked stage.
“I begged them to let me do Chess as my thesis, but they wouldn’t have it, so I raised the $30,000 myself and put up the most elaborate show produced in Bloomington by a student.”
